FAQ
How strong is it, really?
The Latch is forged aluminum rated to 12kN (about 2,700 lbs of load). That's serious hardware for a leash clip — massively overbuilt, which is the point. One note: it's pet gear, not certified climbing equipment, and never for human use. You should never have to wonder if it'll hold.
Will it fit my leash & the Trailhound bottle?
Yes. The gate clears standard leash hardware, harness D-rings, and the Trailhound's silicone strap. If your leash uses an oversized swivel hook you can still hook the Latch to your pack or belt and clip the leash through it.
How heavy is it?
About 1.4 oz. Light enough that you'll forget it's clipped to your pack.
How does the screw-lock work?
Twist the knurled collar a few turns and the gate locks shut. It won't pop open from leash tugs, drops, or bumps. Twist back to open. Works with gloves on.
